Your Rehaunted Journey

Five hubs cover everything a first-time investigator needs before committing to a final reconstruction of the case.

Explore Rehaunted Guides

Ten content hubs cover the whole case: how the investigation works, where every clue sits, what each tool reveals, how the story fits together and how the ending is decided.

Rehaunted Beginner Guides

Everything a first-time investigator needs before stepping into the house: how the investigation loop is structured, which settings and controls matter, and the habits that stop you from walking past evidence. Written for a single 2–3 hour run with no prior knowledge of the case.

Browse Guides
1

Set up controls and subtitles first. Full controller support is available, and the game's radio dialogue is easier to follow with subtitles enabled.

2

Treat the house as a checklist, not a corridor. Clear one room completely before moving to the next so nothing gets overwritten by the story's pacing.

3

Learn what each detective tool is for early: UV light for what the eye misses, camera for records, magnifier for close reading, radio for context.

4

Log findings to the evidence board as you go. Board state is what the game uses to frame later conclusions, so unsorted evidence is wasted evidence.

5

Expect contradictions. The case is built so that clues disagree; do not assume the first clean explanation is the intended one.

6

Save-scumming is rarely necessary. Plan your final reconstruction before committing, and replay the short runtime if you want a different reading.

Rehaunted Full Walkthrough

A chapter-by-chapter and room-by-room route through the entire case, from Connor Raines' arrival to the final reconstruction. Each step states the current objective, what to search before leaving an area, and what triggers the next story beat.

Open Walkthrough
1

Arrival and initial scene survey — establish the layout before touching anything, so later evidence placements make spatial sense.

2

Primary room sweep — the bulk of the physical evidence sits in the main living areas and is easy to leave behind.

3

Secondary areas — storage, utility and lower-floor spaces usually gate story progress behind a found item or recording.

4

Evidence board review — the mid-game beat where contradictory findings force a first interpretation.

5

Radio check-ins — these conversations unlock dialogue branches and reframe evidence you may already have collected.

6

Final reconstruction — the sequence that locks in your conclusion and leads into the ending branch.

Rehaunted Story & Lore

Plot explanation, timeline reconstruction and the lore of the house itself. Separates what the game states as fact from what is inferred, so you can tell a deliberate ambiguity from a detail you simply missed.

Rehaunted Puzzle Solutions

Solutions for the locks, codes and reconstruction logic that gate progress, plus a stuck-point index for when the house stops responding. Written to give the reasoning behind each answer instead of a bare number.

Puzzle Solutions
1

Search the room you are already in before brute-forcing anything — the game places most lock answers within the same area as the lock.

2

Cross-check numbers and symbols against written documents; the game hides combinations in plain text.

3

Use the evidence board to resolve contradictions — it is the game's real puzzle interface, not a decoration.

4

When progress stalls, the blocker is almost always an unexamined object rather than a missing item.

5

Reconstruct the night only after the evidence set is as complete as you can make it, since the reconstruction is what the ending reads from.

What is Rehaunted?

Rehaunted is a first-person psychological detective horror game from the French studio Cauchemar. You play as detective Connor Raines, sent to what looks like a routine case: a young woman found dead inside her own home. What should be a short scene inspection turns into a slow, uncomfortable unravelling, because the physical evidence keeps refusing to agree with itself.

Contradictory Evidence

The deeper the investigation goes, the more the physical findings disagree with each other. The case never hands you a single clean answer.

Tool-Driven Investigation

A UV flashlight, camera, magnifier, walkie-talkie and evidence board make up the full investigation loop and gate almost every discovery.

Radio Dialogue

Conversations with the second detective carry dialogue options that expand the story and challenge the assumptions you have already made.

Final Reconstruction

Endgame sequence where you commit to one version of the night. The conclusion you reach is the one your evidence supports.

Instead of combat or open exploration, the game asks you to work a single house like an investigator. You sweep rooms with a UV flashlight, photograph and enlarge details, log findings to an evidence board, and talk through what you have found over the radio with another detective. Dialogue choices reshape how the case is framed, and the game deliberately withholds a clean answer, leaving you to commit to your own reading of the night.

Rehaunted FAQ

What kind of game is Rehaunted?+

Rehaunted is a first-person psychological detective horror game from the French studio Cauchemar. You play detective Connor Raines investigating the death of a young woman inside a single house. There is no combat and no open world: the game is built around collecting physical evidence, using detective tools and deciding for yourself what the night actually looked like.

How long is Rehaunted and how many chapters does it have?+

Cauchemar describes Rehaunted as a two to three hour experience, and it is structured as a sequence of investigation phases rather than numbered chapters. Our walkthrough follows those phases: arrival and scene survey, the main room sweep, secondary areas, the evidence board review, radio check-ins and the final reconstruction.

Can you miss evidence in Rehaunted?+

Yes. Recordings, personal belongings and UV-only traces sit off the obvious path, and the story can move forward before you have swept a room completely. That matters because the ending reads from what you logged, not from what you walked past. Sweep each area fully before triggering the next story beat if you want every conclusion available.

What do the detective tools actually do?+

The UV flashlight reveals residue that is invisible in normal light, the camera records what you have found and supports close inspection, the magnifier reads small text and fine markings, the walkie-talkie carries your dialogue with the second detective, and the evidence board is where findings turn into an argument rather than a pile of facts.

How do you get the true ending in Rehaunted?+

The best conclusion depends on a near-complete evidence set logged before the final reconstruction. Radio dialogue choices accumulate across the run and change how the case is framed, but they cannot replace missing proof. Sweep the house thoroughly, answer the radio check-ins, and only then commit to your version of the night.

Are there achievements and are any missable?+

Rehaunted ships with Steam achievements and full controller support. Story achievements come automatically along the main investigation path, while evidence and ending achievements depend on how complete your case file is. The full public achievement list is still thin at launch, so treat the guide as structure and strategy rather than a fixed checklist.

Is Rehaunted scary and who is it for?+

It is a slow-burn psychological horror rather than a chase-and-scream game. The pressure comes from sound design, tight framing and a house that reads as abandoned but never truly empty, plus the growing suspicion that your own evidence does not agree. If you like investigation and ambiguity more than combat, it is aimed at you.

Ready to Solve the Case in Rehaunted?

Work the crime scene properly, catch the clues that contradict each other, and pick the ending you actually believe. Our walkthrough and evidence guides keep you from missing anything on the way.
